Ten Tips for the Beginner
1) Communication - communication is the key to all team sports. Use your teammates to find out exactly what your opposition is doing and where they are located on the field and vice versa. This insures that everyone on your team is on the same page.
2) Make use of potential cover - You can use anything from trees, small hills, thick brush, to even tall grass.
3) Wait for the right shot - Don't give away your position by firing aimlessly in your opponent's direction. When you find a target take your time and wait for the good shot.
4) Listen for your opponent's fire - While you're playing your ears can be your best friend. Listen for your opponents to be talking amongst each other or shooting the other way, this is the perfect time to make your move.
5) Try snapshooting - the term snap shooting refers to exposing yourself from behind cover for only a brief period of time while you take a couple of shots before returning to cover.
6) Look at the field from different perspectives - what looks open while your standing may be completely different if you are kneeling or crawling on the ground. There are different lays of the land and growth on the forest floor that can completely conceal you.
7) Come out from behind cover with your marker ready - The main reason that you should come out with your marker ready is so that you don't miss any shots by the time it takes you to raise your gun, aim and pull the trigger.
8) Work with your teammates - It is so much easier to move up the field if you are working with your teammates. You can give them cover fire for them to move and they can do the same for you.
9) Move around the field - It is much harder for your opponents to focus in on you if you are constantly changing positions. This also creates new angles on them while they are convinced that there are ten of you.
10) Don't keep coming out of your bunker in the same spot - Your opponents will realize that you are coming out in the same area and will be waiting for you with their gun up the next time you come out.
