Welcome to the Yorkshire Outdoor Activity Park, the premier destination for Air Rifle Shooting in Leeds, York, and Selby. We are dedicated to providing safe, fun, and exciting Air Rifle Shooting experiences for participants aged 12 and up.
Air Rifle Shooting in York, what to expect?
Air rifle shooting is a fantastic introduction to the sport of shooting. In this event, you will participate in exciting shooting activities on our purpose-built target ranges.
After an essential safety briefing, it’s into the shooting gallery to light up some targets. Our unique target range is designed to encourage precision shooting.
After firing some rounds and sharpening your accuracy, it’s time to get trigger-happy with various thrilling games and competitions where you can channel newly learned skills. After practising, our instructor will give you tips on how to shoot more accurately. Towards the end of the event, we have a competition. Fifteen shots per person, with the highest score in the group winning. You may be surprised who the best shot in your group turns out to be.
For the ultimate sharpshooter experience, our air rifles are fitted with modern red dot sights, which increase accuracy and make aiming easier. Shooting at Yorkshire Outdoor Activity Park is a fantastic experience that allows groups to bond and learn a new skill.

What is provided?
The £25 per participant includes entry to Yorkshire Outdoor Activity Park and all equipment needed to play the game including:
- Air Rifle 5.5mm Pellets
- Ultra-Modern Black Air Rifle
- Shooting Glasses
Arrival Time
Everyone must arrive at least 15 – 30 minutes before the start time so that we can start at the right time. At the beginning of the event, there will be a short safety briefing that every participant must attend. Being on time ensures that you will get the full hour of shooting.

BASC (British Association for Shooting and Conservation)
All of our Air Rifle instructors are BASC qualified and BASC members so that you can be assured of correct safety and the highest possible standards of instruction. We aim to make Air Rifle Shooting safe and available to all levels of participants and increase awareness of shooting protection and conservation.

A. Absolutely. Safety is our number one priority. Your instructor will guide you in proper shooting technique. We designed our purpose-built shooting gallery to maximise your safety. The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) trains and qualifies all instructors at Yorkshire Outdoor Activity Park.
Q. What are the age restrictions?
A. The minimum age is 12 years old. There is no upper age limit because Air Rifle Shooting is not a particularly strenuous sport; so, it is accessible to people of all ages.
Q. Are spectators welcome?
A. Yes. The shooting gallery has lots of seating viewing space to watch.
Q. What shall I wear?
