What to Compare Before Buying
- Enclosure space: Check the stated 12 x 9 x 9 cm size against the space available in the cage or habitat.
- Entry size: The 6 x 5 cm hole is the main check for whether the pet can use the house comfortably.
- Pet size: It is described for hamsters, squirrels and gerbils, and not for larger animals.
- Use indoors or as decor: The ceramic shape is also described as decorative, so the finish and placement may matter if it is used outside a pet habitat.
When to Consider a Different Option
A different house should be considered if the pet is larger than a hamster, squirrel or gerbil, or if you need a bigger opening than the stated hole size. It is also not described as suitable for large rats such as Dutch pigs and chinchillas.
Before You Decide
Check the size, hole opening and the size of your pet before choosing this house. Confirm that the strawberry ceramic design suits the intended enclosure and that the animal is within the stated size range.
