What to Compare Before Buying
- Area coverage: This model is stated for lawns up to 400 m2. Compare that with the area you want to mow, including any separate sections.
- Edge layout: It is intended for lawns with raised or clearly defined edges. Check whether your garden has the type of border it is set up for.
- Cutting height: The mower adjusts from 20 mm to 60 mm. Make sure that range suits the finish you want.
- Slope: The stated slope handling is up to 35% (19°). Compare that with the steepest parts of your lawn.
- Control style: It uses an onboard keypad rather than an app, so the built-in controls should suit the way you want to set schedules.
Using It in Practice
The OcuMow AMB16-400 is set up to run from its charging station and return there automatically as needed. The drop-and-mow mode also lets you move it to another lawn and start mowing without adding extra accessories or installation.
For a garden with clearly defined borders, the 5 m no-go strip gives you a way to block off areas such as ponds, slopes or newly seeded grass. That makes the mower easier to plan around if parts of the lawn should stay untouched.
Before You Decide
Confirm that the mower is the AMB16-400 version and that your lawn fits the stated 400 m2 coverage. Check that your garden has the raised or clearly defined edges this model is intended for, and compare the 20 mm to 60 mm cutting range with your preferred finish.
If you need app control or a mower for an area with unclear edges, this version is less relevant than a system built around those requirements.
