Why Buyers Choose It
- The stated dual-band speeds give a clear indication of the wireless capacity on each band.
- PoE support allows power and data to run through a single Ethernet cable when matched with compatible equipment.
- The IP67 enclosure and stated protection figures are relevant for outdoor placement in exposed conditions.
- The four antennas and Mesh support are intended to help widen coverage across larger outdoor areas.
How It Works
- Choose the operating mode that matches your setup: Mesh, AP, Router, Repeater or AP+Repeater.
- Connect it using Ethernet if you are using PoE, noting that the PoE converter is not waterproof.
- Use CAT5E or above cable, and keep the run within the stated 100m/328ft limit.
- For Mesh mode, the product is set up for a single network name and password.
Real World Use
As an outdoor WiFi device, it is suited to locations where wireless coverage needs to extend beyond an indoor space. The enclosure is stated as IP67 weatherproof, and the antennas are described as high-gain and omnidirectional for outdoor coverage.
Because PoE is supported, installation can be planned around Ethernet cable routing rather than a nearby mains socket, provided the rest of the setup matches the stated requirements.
What To Know Before You Buy
Confirm that you want an outdoor access point, mesh extender or repeater function before ordering, as this unit supports several modes. Check that your network setup is compatible with the stated PoE options, and remember that the PoE converter itself is not waterproof.
Review the cable type and length before installation. The stated guidance is CAT5E or above, with a maximum length of 100m/328ft. If you plan to use Mesh mode, check that this is the operating mode you want for your network naming setup.
