Quick Summary
The Maswell 5G Outdoor Antenna is a 4X4 MIMO external aerial with a stated gain of up to 6dBi and a 600-8000MHz bandwidth. It is a cross-polarized, omnidirectional dipole antenna for cellular and WiFi use, with 4X SMA-Male and TS9 connectors.
The antenna is described as suitable for router, modem and other network equipment use, and it is intended for outdoor mounting on wall or pole surfaces. Check the connector type and your device’s external antenna mode before ordering and installing.
Who It Is Best For
This antenna suits buyers who need an external 5G or 4G antenna for compatible network equipment, including routers, modems, CPE, WAP, smart meters, automotive network equipment, smart agriculture, and IoT and M2M devices. It is also presented as suitable for campervan, home, rural, urban, industrial and commercial network setups.
Because connector type matters, confirm whether your equipment needs SMA-Male, TS9 or RP-SMA Plug before choosing this aerial.

- The 600-8000MHz bandwidth covers a wide stated frequency range for cellular and WiFi use.
- The supplied 2 metre cable gives some flexibility when positioning the antenna.
- Wall or pole mounting options make installation planning easier for different setups.
- The IP67 rated radome and UV-stabilised ASA housing are stated features for outdoor placement.
How It Works
- Connect the antenna to compatible equipment using the stated connector type.
- After connecting, turn on the external antenna mode of your router.
- Restart the router.
- If you need to extend the coaxial cable, use an extension cable of the same level as LMR195 or above, and keep the total length to no more than 5 metres.
Real World Use
This antenna is positioned for outdoor use on network equipment in locations such as campervans, homes, rural areas, urban areas, industrial settings and commercial settings. The mini form factor is described as allowing a variety of mounting options, including wall or pole mounting.
The supplied notes also mention that some routers require an RP-SMA Plug, so the connection should be checked carefully before installation.
What To Know Before You Buy
Check the connector type, cable arrangement and your equipment’s external antenna setting before ordering. The antenna is stated as 4X4 MIMO with 4X SMA-Male and TS9 connectors, so compatibility depends on your device’s exact input.
For cable extensions, keep to the stated guidance and avoid exceeding the total 5 metre length. The 6dBi figure is described as a signal improvement rather than a high gain antenna option, so it should be assessed against your intended use.
