Performance in Everyday Use
The Intel Celeron 5305U processor is built for efficient everyday computing. In real use, it handles web browsing, document editing, email, streaming, and light multitasking smoothly when used within its intended limits. The 12GB of memory helps keep the system responsive when several applications are open, making it feel more capable than standard 8GB entry level laptops.
Display and Visual Comfort
The 15.6 inch Full HD display runs at 1920 x 1080 resolution, providing clear text and sharp visuals for work and entertainment. The larger screen size makes it easier to manage documents, spreadsheets, and online content without constant scrolling. It is well suited to longer sessions of study or home working.
Portability and Build
Despite the larger screen, the laptop remains easy to carry. Weighing around 3.6lbs and measuring approximately 0.8 inches thick, it fits comfortably into backpacks and laptop bags. This makes it suitable for students and users who move between locations during the day.
Keyboard, Office Software, and Daily Use
The keyboard is comfortable for everyday typing tasks, and a UK keyboard film is included for convenience. Office 365 comes included, allowing you to get started straight away with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations. This makes the laptop particularly appealing for students and business users who want minimal setup.
Battery Life and Charging
The built in 5000mAh battery supports everyday mobile use for work or study. Battery life will vary depending on screen brightness and workload, but it is well suited to typical daily tasks. Charging is handled via the included DC power port.
Connectivity and Ports
This laptop includes a useful range of ports for everyday needs. USB ports support accessories and external drives, HDMI allows easy connection to an external monitor or television, and the Type C port adds flexibility for compatible devices. A Micro TF card slot is included for simple storage expansion.
Alternatives Worth Considering
If you need more processing power or faster storage, you may want to consider:
Intel Core i3 laptops for stronger performance
Ryzen based laptops for heavier multitasking
Smaller 14 inch laptops for maximum portability
These options may offer different strengths but often come at a higher price.
Comparison With Similar Laptops
Compared with older laptops using traditional hard drives, this model feels faster and more responsive thanks to its SSD storage. Against entry level laptops with only 8GB RAM, the extra memory provides better multitasking comfort. It focuses on everyday usability rather than specialist performance.
