Why We Like This Laptop at YPC Outdoors
At YPC Outdoors, we always look at how a laptop performs in real use rather than marketing claims. What we like here is the overall balance. The newer Twin Lake N150 processor feels responsive for everyday tasks, and the inclusion of 16GB of memory at this price point makes a genuine difference to usability. Combined with the taller 16 by 10 display, this laptop feels comfortable for longer working sessions and offers good value for users who want screen space and smooth everyday performance without paying for high end hardware.

Performance in Everyday Use
The Twin Lake N150 processor features four cores and is designed for efficient everyday performance. In real world use, it handles office software, web browsing with multiple tabs, video playback, and general multitasking smoothly. Paired with 16GB of memory, the system feels far more capable than entry level laptops with lower RAM, particularly when switching between applications or working with larger documents.
Display and Visual Comfort
The 16 inch display runs at a 1920 x 1200 resolution with a 16 by 10 aspect ratio, providing more vertical space than standard Full HD screens. This is especially helpful for reading documents, browsing the web, and working on spreadsheets. The narrow bezels help maximise screen area without making the laptop feel oversized, and the screen works well for both productivity and media use.
Keyboard, Audio, and Daily Comfort
The backlit keyboard offers comfortable key travel and adjustable brightness, making it easy to use in different lighting conditions. Dual speakers provide clear audio for video calls, streaming, and everyday media. The 180 degree hinge allows the screen to open fully flat, which is useful for sharing content across a table or adjusting viewing angles.
Portability and Battery Life
Despite the larger screen, the laptop remains easy to carry at around 1.6kg and a slim profile. The built in 6000mAh battery supports everyday mobile use for work or study, with heavier tasks naturally reducing runtime. It strikes a good balance between portability and screen size, making it suitable for both desk use and moving between locations.
Connectivity and Ports
This laptop includes a practical range of ports for everyday needs. USB connections support accessories and external storage, while Mini HDMI allows connection to external monitors or televisions. WiFi and Bluetooth provide stable wireless connectivity for home and shared environments, supporting peripherals and media devices without cables.
Alternatives Worth Considering
If you need more performance or newer wireless standards, you may want to consider:
Intel Core i3 laptops for higher processing power
Ryzen 5 laptops for stronger multitasking performance
Smaller 14 or 15 inch laptops for maximum portability
Those options may offer different strengths but often come at a higher cost.
Comparison With Similar Laptops
Compared with older generation entry level laptops, this model feels noticeably smoother thanks to its higher memory capacity and SSD storage. Against systems with only 8GB RAM, it offers better multitasking headroom. It focuses on practical everyday performance rather than specialist gaming or creative workloads.
Tips for Getting the Best Experience
Keep Windows and drivers updated for stability
Use cloud storage or external drives for large media files
Adjust brightness settings to extend battery life
Pair with an external monitor for a full desk setup
