Quick Summary
The VILTROX 20mm f2.8 FE is a full frame AF prime wide angle lens for Sony E mount cameras. It is designed for photographers who want a wider view than a standard lens in a compact form, with autofocus and a 20mm focal length that suits wide angle shooting.
Who It Is Best For
This lens is a sensible choice for photographers who want a lightweight wide angle prime for everyday use. It suits street, travel, landscape, architecture, and general wide angle shooting, and it can also be used on APS C Sony bodies with a cropped field of view.
What To Know Before You Buy
The fixed 20mm focal length keeps the setup simple, but it does not offer zoom flexibility. The f2.8 aperture is useful for many situations, though buyers who often shoot in very low light may want to check whether it suits their needs.
Pros: Compact wide angle prime design with autofocus, suitable for full frame Sony E mount cameras and also usable on APS C bodies.
Cons: Fixed focal length gives less framing flexibility than a zoom, and f2.8 may not be the best choice for very dark scenes.
Check the selected camera and mount compatibility before ordering.
