Quick Summary
The VILTROX DG Z Auto Focus AF Macro Extension Tube Ring Set is for Nikon Z mount mirrorless cameras and lenses, including the Z6, Z7 and Z50. It is designed to help turn your lens into a macro lens by moving the lens closer to the sensor, and the set includes 12mm and 24mm tube lengths.
Who It Is Best For
This is suited to Nikon Z mount users who want closer focusing for macro style shooting without changing the lens itself. It may appeal to photographers who want a simple way to increase magnification and use the tube alone or stacked, depending on the result they want.
What To Know Before You Buy
The tube has electronic contacts and is described as working with the camera’s automatic diaphragm. It is also described as having no optics inside. Check that your camera and lens are compatible with Nikon Z mount use before ordering.
Pros: Can be used alone or stacked, and the lack of optics means there is no extra glass in the light path.
Cons: Compatibility depends on your selected Nikon Z mount camera and lens, so it is worth checking suitability before buying.
